End Citizens United Against Dark Money

James “Trey” Trainor, Trump’s pick for FEC, is obsessed with allowing wealthy contributors unlimited freedoms. Following the announcement of Trump’s decision, a reaction was only a matter of time.

“Trey Trainor, who has been described as a ‘mega advocate’ for deregulating our campaign finance system and an outspoken defender of secretive, ‘dark money,’ is the latest sign that the President was never serious about ending the influence of Big Money and special interest in Washington.”

This is Tiffany Muller, president of the End Citizens United Super PAC and the latest to take a stand on corporate and wealthy control of American Elections.

End Citizen’s United is a Super Pac thrust into the forefront during the 2016 Election, it’s first, campaigning from the start against the buying of elections. The organization promises to bring “campaign-finance reform champions” to congress. It succeeded right out the gate with $25 Million dollars raised, a remarkable step in a long, but worthwhile fight.

The name of the PAC comes from a 2010 Supreme Court decision ruling in favor of union and corporate donations, weighing the scales against fair and just elections. In response End Citizens United made a promise, to never accept any contribution exceeding $5,000 dollars from a single individual or group. For anyone else this would be a handicap, but this didn’t come even close to being an issue.

Success against “mega advocates” like James “Trey” Trainor has been forthcoming. With an average average contribution of 12$, End Citizens United has raised over $4 Million dollars in its fight for representation of all Americans, and this only in the first three months of the year. President Tiffany Muller explains that those who support the PAC “Feel like the system is rigged against them, where those who can write the biggest checks get the biggest say. This is their way of fighting back” End Citizen’s United is expected to accumulate a daring $35,000,000 by the 2018 Midterm Elections, soon enough to make a difference and building off previous success.

On the proposal of Trainor to FEC President Muller had this to say.
“‘A full and functioning FEC is a vital organ in our democracy and ensures the integrity of our elections. President Trump should take his responsibility seriously and appoint members who will enforce the law and fight for transparency.” With the support of this current and still rising support of American freedom of representation, “Dark Money” will continue to operate under scrutiny, diligence, and the sound leadership of End Citizens United.
