Hutchinson’s experience Jackarooing, traveling the length of Africa and starting a small but successful personal training business were the keys to unlocking his confidence and starting a business he’s always wanted. He started with a business named Untamed, which brought people to the edge of mother nature. He met his business partner Anton Lategan, who is the owner of EcoTraining, while taking a course and they bonded over a passion of helping others reconnect with nature. Through his trials and tribulations of the corporate world with his company Avana, Hutchinson discovered that where his heart really lived was in conservation efforts.

Wild Ark’s goal is to protect and purchase as much of the biodiversity of the Earth as possible, and to build sustainable business on the land to help keep the efforts of conservation going. Learn more: http://wildark.com/blog/mark-hutchinson-for-the-wild/

Hutchinson’s family is invested in protecting the Earth as well, with his wife running the documentary series for Wild Ark and his children being exposed to nature daily, with walks through the bush, surfing and learning more about how they can help. Hutchinson is working on his Masters of Conservation Biology to learn more about the language of conservation. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and a MBA from INSEAD Business School France. He starts his days early in the morning, for a specific breakfast and exercise routine and then either helps his children get ready for school or is in meetings and writing emails and proposals for Wild Ark or is in nature, helping with restoration projects and consulting with other Wild Ark members for future ideas.
